You can't help but to stare at this and feel something. Wonder? Confusion? Satisfaction?

In 2019 I made the decision to stretch myself. To re-invent myself.

I wanted to push myself beyond my mentalism shows and use my skills and my perspective to share impactful and valuable ideas on ‘The Power of Perception.’

Fast forward to this year - I've shattered my own expectations for speaking engagements — (and no, I'm not talking the mentalism shows.)

No speaking agent, no Google ads, no SEO ... and to be honest, I barely post on social media. 😏

> So how did I get here??

By taking action, breaking things, making mistakes, and learning.

It started as small as weaving a 3-5 minute monologue into my shows.
I took every opportunity there was to speak for any group. Sometimes for absolutely free when I could've done a paid show instead.

Along the way there were strong feelings of doubt, second-guessing, fear, imposter syndrome. - Ever watched yourself on tape? The Cringe... oh THE CRINGE!! 😖 but I analyzed and rated every single show, did a retrospective, asked for feedback and advice took the data and kept building.

The presentation evolved so many times … each time resonating with the audience more and more.

People started experiencing the same vision and feeling I've had in my mind this whole time.

… So, as I gear up for upcoming keynote presentations across Canada over the next couple months, I am proud that every opportunity came from word-of-mouth.

There is still a lot of work ahead, but it's nice to get some validation.

A reminder that we can all reinvent ourselves, we can all grow and do more than we think we're capable of.
It all starts with a growth mindset and making the 1st step. 🧠💪

We explored how perception and mindset can affect our ability to communicate, innovate and achieve the highest potential.

Just 5 kids who chose to never grow up!

This week, I joined a group of magicians on a trip to Niagara Falls to meet Piff the Magic Dragon and watch his show at the Fallsview Casino.

It's funny; most people see magicians as smiling, confident performers. However, they can't imagine the amount of work that happens behind the scenes and the energy required not only to perform on stage but also to build a viable business and life.

Many kids abandon their dreams and hobbies somewhere along the way to adulthood, and there are a million reasons to give up.
I have so much respect for those who have the courage to at least give it a proper try.

The doubts, anxiety, fears, highs and lows, imposter syndrome, and rejections – there is no shortage of forces that will make you want to throw in the towel and get a "real job."

Being a professional magician requires much more than just talent. It demands entrepreneurial skills, a willingness to constantly learn new things, an ability to perform under pressure, and the capability to solve challenges in real time with a smile on your face.

Needless to say, spending the day with these professionals was inspiring and motivating. I'm so grateful to be able to embark on this journey.
